What a day its been so far. Working on a built in floating shelf for Sarah, painting 2 signs and then got an order for another 3 signs. Trust me I'm not complaining, I'm super happy to be busy! :) Between all the orders and getting ready for Christmas, I'm running around like a chicken with my head cut off. How do all of you other moms and dads get it all done?
I'm building the built in shelf from pallets I got.....froze my butt off taking them apart but it's all worth it. I sanded them down, leaving lots of character, but making it so that we won't get slivers. I then stained them with Jacobean Minwax Stain and let me tell you it's absolutely BEAUTIFUL how the grain came out. If Sarah doesn't like them, I'd definitely make use of them. Next step is to cut them down to size and build the shelves. Random it's going to be, funky and rustic with a few refined bits.
